We know what they say about Idle hands (Proverbs 10 4:4-7). Idle hands make one poor but diligent hands bring riches. Though the statement is not found in the Bible, “idle hands are the devil’s workshop,” but has roots in the scripture. Apostle Paul notes that those who waste their time in idleness or non-productive manner are easily led into sin. They are busybodies(2 Thessalonians 3:11)(1 Timothy 5:13). When people are idle, they are tempted to meddle in other people’s business and stand in the way of progress. Speaking things they ought not to talk to others they cause you to waste time that could have been useful for you to help others. Idleness is not the same as rest. Idle often starts from not having a specific goal or purpose in their life. Idleness is doing nothing when you should be doing something.
