“A Candle”

Happy Jesus Day:
When I sit and watch things around me, I see a bigger picture than what’s before me, like a “candle.” It begins its life tall, firm, solid, and beautifully colored; it causes all darkness to disappear once it is lit. In such ways we started our journey that way. Once we accept Christ, as we read the Word, we begin to change; each day the candle is lit, it changes also. We started to grow in strength and faith as we studied the Word. The more the candle is used, the first to go is the candle’s firmness. The light does not cast such a bright shadow anymore. As the candle burns day in and day out, the color fades, and the firmness begins to leave as it melts; the statue becomes much smaller. Sometimes as believers, we are the same as a candle. We lose more of ourselves by not caring for the things that help us to be faith walkers in the Word of God.

  1. Sometimes I let this slide or that slide and I can see how it can become easy to get lost in the “stuff” of life…it is my fervent prayer that I do not allow anything to be a hindrance to my faith walk…come what may I have to stay focused. Lord please help me stay on the right path to you, in Jesus Name, Amen.💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾🙏🏾

  2. My God, my God. So true, so true!!!
We can get caught up in the cares of this world so easy.
I repeat Proverbs 3:5&6 Lord you said in your word: “Trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not unto my own understanding, in all my ways acknowledge Him for He shall direct my path”
I ask God to continue to create in me a clean heart and renew a right and steadfast spirit within me🙏.

  3. Profound Message…..
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.
