Pray when you don’t know what to do. Lord, show me your ways when I am uncertain about what I should do. When I don’t know where to turn, teach and show me. In everything I do, I ask you to guide me. I want to trust you, and I invite you to protect me. Could you open my eyes to see you? Lord, open my ears so I can hear you as I cry out to you when I’m hungry, scared, and even when I feel beaten. Lord, open my heart to you and others to receive help, support, love, and strength to endure. Lord, sometimes I feel like there is a weight on my back. It makes me feel exhausted, stressed, and overwhelmed, even though I awoke ready to start my day. These are the times I need you more than ever. I can no longer move in my strength; I need to anchor myself in you. Please help me to recognize and accept your divine help when I need it (Psalm 16: 8).
