Healing and restoration are in the Old and New Testaments, from Genesis to Revelation. Restoration “is bringing back to a former position or condition.” The promise of restoration offers hope when all else seems to oppose it. The biblical meaning of the word “restoration” is to receive back more than has been lost to the point where the final state is greater than the original condition. God blesses people for their faith and hardship by making up for their losses and giving them more than they previously had before.
