Battling the Enemy

Happy Jesus Day:

I. Be sensitive to the Spirit of God; {A} that’s revealed by God Matthew 16: 17-19; {B} Satan will try to trick you and make you “ask” What’s in it for me?

II. Be firm and constant in God’s promises {A} Must have self-control and be alert because your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. We must resist him, and stand firm in faith 1 Peter 5: 8-10. [B} We do not want to become lazy but, imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised Hebrew 6: 12.

III. Be Bold and Authoritative in Confrontation Ephesians 3: 9-13.

IV. Bind the spirit in Jesus’s name; {A} Bind to restrict the demon’s activity so the casting out is far less violent. { B} Bind the spirit from manifesting and speaking; [ C} Bind the strong man and spoil his goods Mark 3: 27. {D} Bind their kings { Psalm 149: 8-9; {E} Bind on Earth Matthew 16: 17-19 Matthew 18: 18-20.
