Power/Virtue

Happy Jesus Day:
Power is also defined as the “ ability to do things” by Virtue of strength, skill, resources, or authorization” the bible says a believer’s power comes from God through the Holy Spirit. We know God is the true source of all power. All power comes from Him and is subjected to Him. Power in the bible has a deeper meaning than we can imagine. Its use as strength of mind, moral qualities of a person, power of his/her faith, and so on. The principal words for “Power” in the New Testament are “dunamis” and “exousia” in the revised version and in other revisions “power” is changed to “authority” 1 Corinthian 1: 18-24.
In the English Bible, the Greek word “dunamis” is translated using various words. For instance, when Jesus healed the woman who had an issue of blood and had been sick for a long time, an older version of the Bible translates dunamis as “Virtue” flowing from Jesus to the woman {mark 5:30 KJV}. An update of the same version says” power” flowed from Him which is what “dubamis” means {NKJV} The word “dunamis” describes miracles Paul said God’s plan of salvation itself is identified “ by signs, wonders and various miracles Hebrew 2: 4. In the last days of earth’s history, Jesus will appear with “salvation and power” the same “dunamis” Revelations 12:10.
