Sometimes we hurt ourselves by idolizing our children. We are unable to see them for the sinner they are. In our culture we are blinded in this way; that’s when our children get in trouble, the parents often blames others and themselves. Job understood his children potential to sin so, he continually interceded before God for them. We need to close our door stop running interference and let them go through God’s door that’s wide open and ready for them to knock and come in. As long as we keep running interference covering their sin they will always make excuses for what they have done and why we should fix it Job 1: 4-5.
